Is it time for a second chance?

Hi Reader,

September in Prague brings those crisp mornings, the kind where you reach for a sweater and notice the fresh edge in the air. It's a sign that summer is quietly slipping away. Imagine stepping outside and feeling the shift, the familiar city suddenly hinting at something new.

As you walk to your favorite café or pause to notice how the light around you is changing, maybe you find yourself thinking back to January. Do you remember jotting down hopes for the year? Maybe some were bold, maybe some were tender. Which ones still tug at you, calling for just a bit more time, a second chance?

This is your invitation: take 30 minutes, grab a journal or just a quiet corner, and let yourself wander back over the months. What’s brought you joy? Where have you surprised yourself, and where are you still waiting for momentum? If progress feels out of reach, it’s often for one of these two reasons:

If you’re feeling stuck between the two, you’re not alone. So many of us sit on the cusp of change, seeing possibility but unsure what step comes next. I'm with you on that journey. We're all having a human experience, which could mean thinking over doing or waiting for perfection.

If you’d like a nudge — or a cheering section — schedule a Lightning Clarity Session. My schedule’s a bit tight as I prepare for my next adventure (Japan, Taiwan, the US, and Canada!), but I have a few spaces left these next two weeks.

If today’s note made you think of a friend who’s also craving change or travel, please forward this email. Sometimes encouragement is the best gift.

Joyfully,
Damianne

P.S. I’m excited to share that in the coming months, this newsletter will hone in on adventures and mindset shifts for traveling after 40. If your heart yearns for stories, tips, and confidence to explore at any age, be sure you’re along for the journey—you’ll see more in your inbox soon!

Hi Reader, As we get into December, I’ve been thinking about how mixed this time of year can feel. I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but November is always a bit heavy for me. My grandmother passed away at the end of November ten years ago, and that still sits with me. And then last week, a friend of mine (who was one of the teachers in my high school) died just a few days before her 80th birthday. I’m glad I got to see her when I was in Canada last month, but it still hit hard. So yes,...

Hi Reader, At 10 p.m., when I’m normally washing my face before debating whether to read one more page of my current book, I suddenly got a burst of energy. The kind of spark that says, “Not tonight… tonight we’re going down a rabbit hole.” Since I’ve been thinking about spending time in Asia again, I thought I’d just take a quick peek at flight prices. You already know how this goes. Five minutes turned into a deep dive into new countries, safety research, regional culture, and cost...
