You know that feeling when technology just doesn't cooperate? I just had one of those moments - I wrote this whole newsletter in a flow state, and poof! I overwrote it without any history. The funny thing about flow states is how the details slip away afterward, leaving just the essence of what you created. But here's what I know about setbacks - they're universal, and they're temporary. If you're going through something similar right now, know that you're not alone. Sometimes we all need someone to lean on, and that's perfectly okay. Give yourself some compassion, or reach out to a friend or loved one.

Life's Unexpected Turns

This week brought some challenging news - two dear friends, both in their 40s, were recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Being in Prague while they're in the UK and Ottawa makes physical presence impossible, but distance won't stop me from showing up for them. It's moments like these that remind me why I'm such a strong believer in chosen family - those precious connections we build beyond blood relations, based on mutual care and understanding. Throughout the year, I'm going to find ways to be there for them. Their experience has also strengthen my priority for this year.

2025 in Focus

None of us can pour from an empty cup, and it's very important for each of us to take care of ourselves. This is why my health and well-being is taking center stage this year. My current commitment? Three weekly sessions with heavy weights. It's not just exercise - it's a promise to myself, with weekly goals, with check-ins every 6 weeks to inform me of my progress and help me stay on track.

Let's WOOP
One tool that's been transformative in my journey is WOOP - Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan. It's more than just goal-setting; it's planning while also anticipating what might trip us up and creating specific plans to overcome those hurdles. The beauty of WOOP lies in its simplicity and scalability - whether you're planning your day or mapping out your year, WOOP can be a useful tool for you to use. You can learn all about it in episode 27 of Changes Big and Small podcast.

Goal Achievement 2025

Hi Reader, Have you ever found yourself somewhere so unexpected, so out-of-the-ordinary, that you had to pause and ask: “What does this say about what’s possible for me?” A few weeks ago, I found myself wandering the golden deserts of the Middle East. I was in Dubai, Muscat, and Doha. These are places where you can find sand that stretches as far as the eye can see, yet humans have built glittering cities, lush gardens, and even reclaimed land from the sea. But the moment that truly stopped...

Hi Reader, Has this ever happened to you? You tell yourself you’ll do something, write, call, start, finish, and then… nothing. Three weeks have passed since my last newsletter, and every day I’ve thought, “today’s the day” but something held me back. Well, this morning, I got curious about it. Rather than punishing myself or forcing myself, I decided to play with this resistance. What would happen if I started to write, from the place I am in right now, being in my body? What if I didn't...

Hi Reader, Sometimes, we say we want something different for ourselves and our lives, but then we let days, weeks, months, even years go by without any changes. It's like we're just watching our lives pass us by. That dream you have, that change you want, how long has it been? Are you any closer to it? To turn dreams in reality, dreaming is the first step. It's an important step, but don't stop there. Once you have a dream, start taking action. It doesn't matter how small the steps are. If...
